Dele Momodu Celebrates 55 years Birthday

Dele Momodu, the publisher of Ovation and Politician turned 55 years old today. He had a quite celebration with his wife, sons and a couple of friends.

Bomb Blast In Damaturu

The popular Bayan Tasha market/ motor park in Damaturu Yobe state was attacked by a suicide bomber believed to be about 10 years old.  This happened around 11am today.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that the girl tried gaining access into the park but was stopped by the security men stationed at the entrance who subjects anyone coming into the park to proper search.

The bomb strapped under her hijab was detonated while the girl was being searched; killing her, a security officer and three others and leaving those close by injured.

Boko Haram Recaptures The Town Of Marte, Borno State

The Deputy Governor of Borno State, Zannah Mustapha, confirmed the recapture of Marte town by Boko Haram. He alleged that 600 women and girls had been dispatched by the terrorists, as suicide bombers, with the aim of causing multiple explosions in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.

Three Unidentified Women Kidnapped In Ekiti State By Unknown Gunmen.

There women were kidnapped with their husbands and unspecified number of children along Igbole-igbosin road while travelling in a Toyota Rav 4 Sports utility vehicle to Ibadan, Oyo state, for a wedding.

The kidnappers are reported to have later dropped the men and the children while the women were driven away in the car after collecting phones and other valuables from the victims.

Tanker Driver’s, Union Tasks Members To Move Thier Trucks From Apapa - Oshodi Expressway Within 48 Hours.

The National Union of Petroleum Tanker Drivers (PTD)at a joint news conference with the National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) in Abuja today instructed all its members to comply with a 48-hour ultimatum issued by the Lagos State government for the removal of all trucks on the Apapa-Oshodi expressway.
The union faulted the Federal Government’s claim that it has pumped 1.2 billion litres of petrol into the market.
